"Ozgrid" (Ozgrid Forum) Closed on Tuesday 18 November, 2025

Raina Hawley, Owner of things "Ozgrid" has given the following statement….

    .........….. Hello everyone.

After many wonderful years, I’ve made the decision to close down Ozgrid and the Forum step into retirement. As I prepare to do this, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all of you wonderful Moderators who have supported this community over the years.

You’ve each given your time, knowledge, and patience freely — not for recognition or reward, but out of a shared passion for helping others and keeping this community a welcoming, respectful, and informative place for everyone. Your dedication has been the backbone of the forum, and I could never have managed it all without you all.

Thank you for your countless hours spent answering questions, resolving issues, guiding discussions, and keeping things running smoothly. You’ve truly embodied the spirit of collaboration and generosity that made this community so special.

A special shout-out to Sam, without whom I would have been absolutely lost and has truly been an absolute legend over the years !!

It’s been an honor to work alongside you, and I’ll always be grateful for your friendship, your support, and your kindness.

OzGrid will be closing on Tuesday 18 November.

With sincere thanks and appreciation, you all did Dave and myself proud!!

    Raina …..

( I got the above info from Alan Sidman here https://www.excelforum.com/the-water...ml#post6046872 )

I think Ozgrid was the place to be in things Excel Forums, way back, a bit before my time at forums.
I was there occasionally and it seems I can still for the time being log in. I never liked the update of the software, and so never went there much after they changed from the software similar to what we still have here at Excel Fox.

My feeling, just a Layman gut feeling at the time, was that the update was not such a good idea. Given the closing of the forum now, I see no advantages of that change now.
It is not that I am so much stuck in my ways, but rather I think this forum software is probably a good one to go with for as long as such forums keep going. That may perhaps be just a few more years, time will tell.

    Alan

    ...................
..............After 25 years of running this site, the time has come for me to retire and to say goodbye. What started as a small corner of the internet for Excel enthusiasts grew into a vibrant community filled with shared knowledge, creativity, and collaboration.

When Dave and I started OzGrid 25 years ago, we never imagined it would grow to be such a wonderful community. When Dave passed away 12 years ago, it continued on with the help of the Admins and Moderators and Dave’s friends in the Excel community.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who contributed — firstly the Admins and Moderators who have given countless hours to OzGrid and also to you, the community for posting and answering questions to sharing formulas and tips, to stopping by to read and learn or by simply being part of the conversation. This community has always been more than a website; it’s been a gathering place for people who love solving problems and helping others and you have all made this community what it is.

OzGrids last day will be Tuesday 18 November 2025

Thank you for 25 unforgettable years, and the best of luck to you all going forward.

Just for fun a few last live screen shots for prosperity from 17 November, 2025, (You may able to get some shots in the future from archive org, but although that is a fantastic site, getting at important form posting is usually difficult.
( For future experiments I will see if I can ever find these again after the forum is gone
