Can i create a list in a new worksheet by filtering data

I'm not evens sure if this is possible, but i am trying to extract a list of information in a new workbook. I have attached an image of the file (i have omitted some info due to confidentiality, but if should not affect anything). The file is a recipe basically for hanging baskets, and there are hundreds of these. what i would like to do in another file that we plan our space allocation, is to create a list that has all of the vital info from each recipe:

Basically, the recipe is set up as such:

    A B
    7 Type 12" Shade
    8 Name Ember Glow
    9 Qty 42

    25 Type 12" Shade
    26 Name Firecracker
    27 qty 56

In the new file, i need to be able to see in a list view for each item like this: I know that i can link the cells to these specific cells, but is there a formula that i could use to pull all this info? the only way i can think of is to link individual cells, which would take a lot of work.

    Name Type Qty
    Ember Glow 12" Shade 42
    Firecracker 12" shade 56

    basket.xlsx

hope this helps. its still a very small portion of the file, but all the data that i would need would be in columns A and B. Most other columns are linked to other tabs and lists.

    Bradh,

Thanks for the workbook. You referred to using a formula, but I for one am not proficient using formulas.
You can however, use code for this.
If you go that route I would need to know if the "File" you refer too is a workbook or another worksheet.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.
In this attachment I have a code on place that should do what you want. However, I have it set to move the data to sheet2 and not another workbook.
When you open the file you will see a button when you click it go to sheet2 to review the data.
With this code the format that you currently have for your sample must be the same format in your real data.
The code can be modified to send the data to another workbook. After you test let me know.
Also if you are sending it to another workbook we need to know the its name and also the worksheet name.
