so why I should make filesize bigger?
image dimension is not limited now (as you said)
I think it should be 1:1 and if filesize is bigger than 1 MB and dimension is over post size - it should be resized to proper dimension (you can define limitation)
of course if the image is too small there should be warning: Image is too small
