Application.ScreenUpdating = False not working

Hi,

Many thanx for my previous post for the best replies.
Now i am stuck with Application.ScreenUpdating.

My Code is:

   Application.ScreenUpdating = False

but it's not working it always being true.

In each sub routine set the screen updating like

Dim lngSU               As Long
    
With Application
    lngSU = .ScreenUpdating
    .ScreenUpdating = False
End With

'Your code

Application.ScreenUpdating = lngSU
