VBA Code to Assign Numbers to Records

Can someone please help me with a vba code that will add numbers to a table field. I have a table that will have a list of records that are added throughout the month and the contents will be moved to another table at the end of the month. I would like to use VBA to add numbers to each record before the records are moved and the next number stored so that it can be used again when the process is generated.
I hope this can be done. Thanks in advance.

    Hi mjoza. Welcome to ExcelFox.

Exactly what do you want to do? Do you want serial numbers for your new records?

A dream is not something you see when you are asleep, but something you strive for when you are awake.

It's usually a bad idea to say that something can't be done.

The difference between dream and aim, is that one requires soundless sleep to see and the other requires sleepless efforts to achieve

Why not use the auto number feature in Access?
