Toggle Chart Data Using Option Buttons And Formula

The sample file attached shows data and a graph. With option buttons can the graph area be toggled so that it displays all the data bars (D17:R22) or it shows just the average of all the data bars (D23:R23).The option between 2 graphs....

Not sure if this is possible

    Regards

There could be numerous ways to do this. It all depends on how you approach it. One way would be to make use of NA() to hide series points from a chart.

By the way, this one also has a very nice method that you could make use of

    Hi Excel Fox
Yours is a great example and i adopted that techniques
I followed your set up with the NA and formula and linked the Cell to the Stats Button. When i now toggle between the 2 the Graphs do not change. There is something i have missed here.I see that the Average button is not linked to the cell...is this correct

    Thank you

rich, the new table you have below should be the source for the chart. You haven't changed that chart source yet. Once you do that, it should work fine.

    Hi Excel Fox

    I now haveit working..thank you

When I have the daily graph visible the bar lines are in there respected areas but when I select the average button the bars are not in alignment........they are thin bars..I tried but is there a way to have the bars line up in there area and also have the bars thick (wide)

    Thanks
