Hi all, above is my sample data. How can I count the number of occurrence?
My desired outcome should be something like:

apple 1
berry 2
coconut 3
donut 2
grape 1
lime 1

I have tried =COUNTIF($A:$A,A7) but is not right

=COUNTIF($A:$A,A7) should work. Are you sure A7 is the correct reference cell ? Also check the spelling or any leading or trailing space.
