Lookup lookup lookup just can't make it work

Guys,

I have been self sufficient in excel for many years and prided myself on not needing help. Times are a changing. Help!! I want to match a list thats similar to another list and show the 2nd column. However using a vlookup non exact match doesn't work for all of these. Any assistance would be appreciated I tried using the fuzzy logic addin and I couldn't make that work.

I have a table as such the one below but this will repeat itself in similar permutations:
