convert/export excel 2007 chart to powerpoint editable chart

Dear Experts

I am trying to export excel charts to powerpoint, however I am able to get charts in three formats :-

1) Picture format
2) Chart object having links (data source) with original excel from where it was exported
3) Chart object with non editable data source

What I am looking for is an excel exported chart in powerpoint having data source in powerpoint without any links with original excel from where it was exported.

Please note this should be work in Excel/PowerPoint 2007 version.

Hi Pushkar,

If you want to copy paste then yes you can not have editable chart. or if editable then it will be linked.

In place of copy pasting. you can create your chart on separate workbook and save it.

Then in PPT you can click Insert --->Object ---> create from File ---> Browse this saved file (Link Check box must be unchecked)---> OK
