The initial thoughts

At the time, and before the last month of ponderings, ( https://www.excelfox.com/forum/showt...-of-Thousands)

_ So there are 10 links which were somehow involved in some viewing / requesting ….. in other words I think we are being told that 10 things were causing issues

_ thing doing the viewing / requesting have an IP address that is on my list of IP addresses doing these crazy insane number of views, at least 9 out of 10 of them are.

_ It looks like a fairly diverse 10 things being looked at.
__ 6 appear to be posts in Threads, although 2 of those do not exist. I recognise one of those non existent ones as a test post of mine, that I deleted some time ago. I think I referenced it a few times to a few places before I deleted it as we no longer needed it. So things are bring looked for that are not there anymore, not just things there currently-.
__ the other 4 things are random things, that don’t seem to be anything significant, important, or generally of great interest to anyone.

_ I am thinking that things are being viewed both randomly, but also some things are viewed a lot. Example of that are some stuff of mine and Rick’s – one link there is to a Polygon thread of Rick’s – I have seen that often over the years often being viewed by these things that are viewing lots, as well as being viewed by real people. (This had some links in that I put in as an experiment later. I don’t think anything I did had any influence ever, but I did and am taking any out now, just to avoid any confusion)

_ 6 of the error log message seem to be saying that we are hitting our allowed limit of 250 views/ requests at the same time to any particular link. I cannot see any common factor to the things being looked at, and nothing I can see that might encourage the link to be viewed a lot, other than as I commented above already: Some things are often viewed a lot, even by normal real people. Other things are probably almost never viewed by any real normal person.

_ 3 of the error log messages are saying something about “Redirect to non-URL”
I can’t make any sense of that. One is a post of mine, legitimately giving 3 links that works normally to a few places, and another is just taking you to a Tag search.





In the over next posts are some notes and further ponderings , resulting from looking at viewing for about 6 weeks after that crazy time (Crazy Thursday, 12 June 2025 (Crazy week Monday 9 June – Monday SchlappenBierTag 16 June )
