Drop Down List with Default Value & Color

Hi All,

I have an excel file with pending (to-do) list with Date, Type, Comment, Amount & Status as the headers. Now what I want my file to do is whenever I enter a new record under these headers, I want "Pending" with red fill to appear under Status column by default. Basically, the cell should show as "Pending" until I select "Done" with green fill from the drop-down list under Status header column.

this will probably require some VBA. Suggest you post a sample worksheet so that members can provide you with specific code to meet your needs.
