Custom Cell Format To Display 8 Digit Numeric Value As Date In DD/MM/YYYY Format

I would like to know how to set a custom format so that if a user enters a date for eg as 28022014 , it will automatically format as 28/02/2014

As long as you don't need to actually use that as a date in any calculations.
