Ozgrid Website Owner and Excel Hacks Author Dave Hawley Passed Away
Many of you are already aware, but if not, David Hawley (better known as Dave Hawley), owner of Ozgrid Business Applications passed away on 19th June 2013. He was fighting a neurological condition for a few years.
David Hawley has spent most of the last 20 years creating business applications using Excel and VBA for Excel on a day-to-day basis, until his condition restricted him to a wheelchair towards the latter days of his illustrious life. He has produced a monthly newsletter containing information on the use of Excel and VBA for Excel. He ran and maintained one of the largest Excel forums in the world on the OzGrid web site.
His contribution to the Excel community has been immense, and a lot of the current Excel developers of the world have benefited from his knowledge and willingness to share Excel tips and tricks.
Though the online community has lost a wonderful asset, Dave's contributions to the online community makes him live on in many a hearts. He is survived by his wife Raina and daughters Aleisha and Kate.
