How many times have we contemplated creating a waterfall chart, and then just let it go, cause those calculations were too complicated.....

Thanks to our friend Kris, we have a dummy's easy-to-use waterfall chart that gives results such as these.....

Enter your data in the columns on the top left (run the alignment macro if needed for the labels).... and viola! there's your waterfall....

I'm new to VBA and trying to update the alignment macro in this file. I'm using it to look at top 5/bottom 5 values but my values are too large for the data labels. Is there a way to revise the code so it formats the data labels with commas and no decimals? Thanks in advance!

You can devide your values by 1,000 or 1,000,000
Other way is you can use Waterfall Chart Studio Excel add-in Waterfall Chart Studio (http://fincontrollex.com/?page=products&id=1&lang=en)
By the way, waterfall charts become the standard type in Excel 2016. But if you use older version of Excel, Waterfall Chart Studio will be useful for you.
You can see how the add-in works here
