Formula with 3 arguments

Hi,
I'm stuck with formula to count some arguments.
goes like this.
Have in one column uniqe ID of player. like 1B . When make score need to check wich querter is (1,2,3,4) and give result in one cell.
for exmpl.

1B gave score in first quarter result need to be 1B1
when 1B give a goal in second quarter result need to be 1B2
there can be 1 or 4 cell with number for quarter

So for each cell need to check condition.
Is it posible to make that kind of formula ?
